The recently appointed Minister for the East Midlands, Phil Hope MP, attended the launch of the regional Train to Gain Protocol and the Skills Pledge. The launch took place on Monday 10 March at Rolls Royce in Derby.
The esp Executive Group fully supported the event, which was attended by representatives from the Sector Skills Councils (SSCs), and regional Stakeholders.
The East Midlands Train to Gain Protocol is a regional agreement between East Midland Brokers and individual SSCs, to support collaboration within Train to Gain. This protocol sets out the relationship and responsibilities between SSCs and East Midlands Business Ltd (EMB), to work effectively together to provide a consistent employer journey and experience. The protocol will support the development of a regional offer to employers, with SSCs and EMB presented as a combined skills and business growth package.
