What is Higher Level Skills (HLS)?

The HLS Task and Finish Group will review the current products and services available in the region, and co-ordinate partner action in the arena of HLSs; partner action will include developing and implementing a HLSs dimension to the existing brokerage service, and working with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to engage more with employers and Sector Skills Councils (SSCs), and thus ensure they influence the design and delivery of provision to meet business need.

We will partner with social enterprises, to enthuse adults in deprived areas to the benefits of HLSs training, and help HEIs and Further Education Colleges (FECs) to prepare for an anticipated increase in workplace learning.
